Our story

Platoo was founded in 2025 by a small but close-knit team from Ukraine, Romania, Poland, and Georgia. We see every day how fast the restaurant business is going digital across Europe, and how much is still missing in terms of tools that are genuinely simple to use for the owner of a small café or bakery. That's how Platoo came to be: a service a restaurant owner can set up entirely on their own, with no need for an outside designer, developer, or agency.

The problem we solve

Restaurants, cafés, and bars face the same recurring challenges every day: a paper menu goes out of date faster than the printing cost is recovered, changing the price of a single item means another trip to the print shop, and guests from other countries often simply can't understand what's written on the menu. Add to that the queues at the counter, the time staff spend bringing and collecting menus, and the impossibility of quickly testing a new dish without risking having to reprint the whole batch.

A QR menu solves these problems with a single motion of a smartphone camera: the guest scans the code on the table or at the entrance and instantly sees the current lineup — with photos, ingredients, prices, and special offers. The venue doesn't need to spend on design and printing every time something changes: the menu is edited online and updates instantly.

Multilingual by default. The menu is available in 10 languages — guests from any country see dish names and descriptions in their own language, and you don't need to hire a translator.
You fill in the menu yourself — or we can do it for you. Usually the restaurant owner adds, hides, and edits items themselves, at any time, with no outside administrator involved. But if time or resources are tight, we can fill in the menu for you on request: just send us the dish details, and the Platoo team will take care of the rest.
AI-generated dish descriptions. If you're short on time or inspiration to write an appetizing description, artificial intelligence will do it for you in seconds.
Analytics. We're continuously developing our analytics tools, so you can see which dishes get viewed most often and which ones are worth removing or reworking.
All venue information in one place. Address, Wi-Fi, social media links, available delivery services, and photos of your venue and dishes — guests find all of this right next to the menu, without switching between apps.
